【INDICATIONS】
Indicated for the treatment of mild or moderate primary hypertension.
Felodipine is a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker developed by Astra, a Swedish company. The Felodipine Tablets, developed by the IMM, CAMS and produced by Peking Union Second Pharmaceutical Factory LTD, was among the first to obtain the Ministry of Health’s new drug certificate (formerly Class 4 Western Medicine) in 1996 and launched on the market. The drug was approved to be produced by the affiliated enterprise BUPF in 2000, and the national drug standard was issued in 2003.
Felodipine was included in the National Basic Medical Insurance Drug Catalog in 2000, and has been classified as a Class A variety since the 2019 edition of the National Basic Medical Insurance, Work Injury Insurance, and Maternity Insurance Drug Catalog; in 2005, Felodipine was included in the Volume II of the Pharmacopoeia of the People’s Republic of China; selected in the National Essential Medicines Catalog in 2018; recommended in the Chinese Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Hypertension, Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Stable Coronary Heart Disease, and related clinical pathways.
